Guess What I Did this morning???

I downloaded pictures from my camera! WOO HOO!!! So without further ado -- here are the pictures from our New Years camping trip:

Stoddard Valley - December 31st - Jan 3rd

Taylor & Emily enjoying brothers Christmas present! (I have to say Emily LOVES this thing. More than Connor. Connor loves to RIDE in it not so much drive it. Emily actually saw how you have to push down on the pedal on the floor and kept trying! But her little legs are just too small. =( )

Bigi pushing Taylor in her pink buggy (Bigi was able to join us again out in the desert).

Emily playing the big truck.

Emily on a quad. Do you think I have something to worry about here?!?!

Emily pushing the car.

Curtis and Surbjit hanging out before going for a ride.

Surbjit & Connor talking on the walkie talkies. Connor LOVED the walkie talkies. He doesn't quite have the hang of pushing the button and talking yet but he'll get there!

Braeden, Emily & Connor playing with the toys.

Emily & Taylor eating their lunch.

Bigi reading to Emily
Sisters having fun playing in brothers carseat while we get packed and ready to go home.

Binkies & Bottles

So I guess I forgot to mention back in January when the twins got their 2nd flu shot, the nurse was chastising me for them having binkies. Well, not quite. I guess since they are were only 14 months at the time it was ok but I better not have binkies the next time I come. I guess the new recommendation is to get rid of them between 12-15 months. I don't know (insert shrug here). So then i said well they are still on the bottle and she gave me an EVIL eye.

So I went home and told Surbjit. The next day no more binkies for the girls or bottles. Well, we tried no bottles, we still give them A bottle at night before bed (although I'm pretty sure we could get rid of this one now. They drink maybe 3 ozs now and are playing with the bottle more than anything). As far as binkies, they get it for nap time and bed time only. That actually makes it so much easier to FIND the binkies. Before we would have to scour through the house to find them but now they are all around their cribs.

So my babies are growing up. And in some respects, that ok with me. =) They are getting a tad bit easier to manage.

In other news, Surbjit was officially told of his start date for his new job!! YEAH! We can all breathe a sigh of relief. He will start 2/17. Wish me luck. He starts so early (6am) that I will now be the morning getting ready and dropping the kids off at work person. I haven't had to do that in the almost 3 1/2 years since we've had the kids. Yikes.

Rainy Weekend

We were stuck inside all day on Saturday due to the rain. Did not make for a happy Emily as she stood at the back slider and cried pointing outside. Poor girl.

Well, our weekend actually started out Friday night. Bigi came over to watch the kids so Surbjit and I could go out to dinner and movie. I won't discuss dinner (as it SUCKED - whatever happened to good service?) but the movie "Gran Torino" was good. I did sleep through a lot of it but I got the gist of it. And Surbjit really liked it too. We didn't get home until after midnight.

Woke up Saturday and Bigi ended up staying all morning through lunch. We had the air mattress set up in Connor's room for Bigi although she never slept on it because there is a leak that we cant' fix. Oh well. But it did prove for some entertainment for the kids. Connor loved jumping on it like a jumper. Emily was getting into it too. I would tell her to jump and she would move both feet like she was running up and down in place. Too cute. There was one time she was doing something and Surbjit told her no. She looked at him, started crying and lay face down on the mattress. It was too funny! Taylor wasn't as sure of it but was trying to walk along the side of it. (No she still isnt' walking. =( )

Sunday we had a birthday party for a friend's one year old. We weren't sure if we were going to take everyone due to the weather but thankfully it stopped raining about an hour before the party. Of course, the party was at 1pm which is nap time in our house but we brought the girls anyway. We had them in their stroller in the beginning. Taylor of course fell asleep. Emily never did though. Connor had fun running around. They had a huge puddle in their backyard and Connor saw another kid running through it so of course he wanted to. And did he?? Of course he did. =) He did come and ask if he could run through it though. His pants were soaked up to the knee.

So it was a fun rainy weekend. This coming weekend we are going camping, Friday - Monday. Nice long weekend. So we get Two full days there. Should be fun. It's supposed to be cold though. Low 40's. Brrr. I just have to make sure I BUNDLE the kids up.

Up way too early

So I woke up at 4am this morning to get up and do my exercise video (yes I'm trying. Not succeeding every day but I'm trying.). As I walk out of my bedroom I look in to Connor's room and lo and behold guess who is up (WIDE awake I might add) sitting up in bed? Well of course it's Connor! So I let him come out in the living room with me and watch me exercise. He tries to do it with me too sometimes. It was so cute to watch him try to do the speed bag. LOL. He was saying, I can't do it fast enough. I told him it was ok. He just needed to practice. =)

When I was done I told him it was time to go lay back down so Mommy could get ready. He wanted to lay down in my bed so I said fine and let him sleep on my side of the bed since Surbjit was still sleeping. Of course, he never fell asleep and woke up when Daddy did. Wide awake. I don't know why. He wasn't having a bad dream, nothing. Just wide awake. So I said good bye to him. He looks at me at says" Mommy you are really pretty." Melted my heart. I told him he made my day. =)

And the girls. UGH! What is with them?!?! If I leave their side for like one second they are FREAKING OUT! I mean, I'm not home, they are fine. I walk in the door and they see me and it's like they can't be with me soon enough or long enough. UGH! I can't get anything done. I'm trying to cook dinner and they are freaking out crying and screaming because I'm not near them, reading to them, playing with them, holding them. This stage better not last much longer. =(

5K

I ran my 5K on Sunday. This time the family stayed home and I went by myself. It was too cold to have the kids out there plus it was February 1st which was the first day to make camping reservations for August. Worked out good. I found decent street parking near the start line so that was good. Waited around the cold for about 1 1/2 before the start of the race. Ran the race and then got some goodies and my medal and went home. As soon as I walked in the door, Connor's all I want to listen to your music (my iPod). Well I didn't bring it with me but I showed him my medal. He wanted to wear it so I put it around his neck. He then took it off and said he wanted his own medal. =) Maybe I'll make a runner out of my son yet. ;) I told him we need to practice but we can get him his own medal too. So maybe next year he will run the kids run. There is a 5K coming up next month at Knott's Berry Farm that I'm planning on doing. It also has a kids run too. I'm wondering if he can do it. I just don't see his attention spanning the full 1 mile. I guess only getting out in the neighborhood and having him walk a mile with me will tell. Too bad we are due for rain this coming weekend. =(

Setting A Good Example

You know they always say that you should watch what you do because your kids will want to be just like you. I have found that to be entirely the truth! I've been running again for the last week as my next 5K is this coming Sunday. (I am so NOT ready for it as I've only been running again for a week but at least this course will be all flat unlike the first one I did). Anyway, I got back from running last night and Connor was still up watching Cars. He came up to me as I was walking in the door and asked to listen to my music. So I stuck the iPod headphones in his ears (and turned the volume WAY down). Then I found "Life is a Highway" from the CARS soundtrack and turned it on for him. He got this look of amazement on his face and said "Tractor Trailer Song!"

I went into the living room and sat down to stretch while we finished watching the end of the movie. Connor asked if he could stretch with me. He's still listening to my iPod. I say sure. Then he stands back up and is like "I want to run". And he asked me to put the iPod on his arm like I do (I have an armband for it to go on my arm while I run). So I did. Then he said,"I need a watch too." So I put my heart rate monitor that I use on his wrist too. He then proceeded to run up and down the hallway!! How cute was that?? I so wish I had grabbed the camera but I got a phone call right as he was starting to run. I'm sure he'll want to do it again so hopefully I'll get a picture.

But this just goes to show that you CAN and DO set examples (whether good or bad) for your children.

We Be Like Same!

That is what Connor says whenever he realizes that something is alike. "We be like same". So we were watching Handy Manny last night (his new love - but it is so much better than Caillou!!!). On this particular episode, there was a new character named Mr. Singh (for those that don't know, that's our last name) - so Connor says, "That's ME!" I'm like "What Connor?" Connor say," that's me! We be like same!" Wow, so he really does know his name!

This morning we were getting ready to leave and go to daycare and Connor is in his bedroom asking to take "that' to school. I keep asking him what's that? I can't see what "that" is. He is getting really bad at pointing lately and not using words. I'm thinking it's because that is what Emily and Taylor are doing. But anyway, I'm getting the girls in their car seats and I keep asking him what's "that". And I hear him say "N - N -O - R. That's my name." So I ask him, " you mean your piggy bank?" Because that's the only thing I can think of that has his name on it. And he says no. So I go in there and he is pointing at this box that he got for Christmas from Grandma D. It's got a chalk board on one side and a magnetic board on the other and you can put pen/pencils/crayons etc inside it. Very cute. I tell Connor that it's too big to take to school. But I am impressed he knows when he sees his name. My little boy is growing up.

Birthday Parties . . .

So we got invited to two birthday parties in the next two weeks. Ugh. Part of my New Years Goals this year, I want to make all gifts. I figure I'll save money and people will appreciate it more. So far I'm doing "ok".

Birthday Presents so far this year:

Katrina (3 year old bday): Bought 2 books at a B.Dalton going out of Business and got them for 50% off. Then I made her a book mark. Spent a bunch of money on the ribbon etc at Michaels but now I have ribbon and buttons for another gift. (Will post pic later I did take a pic of it!).

Braeden (6 year old bday): Made a 'Smores Basket. Bought a basket at michael's on sale for 1/2 price ($5) and put marshmellows, chocolate bars, and graham crackers in. Then had dh buy an extra set of these. We already had to buy ourselves another two sets (we only bought one set when we originally bought them to see if we'd like them. Boy do we! And everyone else too! It's so hard to find a good roasting stick!!). Not a bad present if I do say so myself. Darn - I never took a picture of this. Oh well.

So now we were invited to a birthday party for a boy at the twins daycare and then a friend of a friend who's son is turning one. The boy from daycare came to the twins party and got them gifts. The boy who is turning one - didn't make it to the twins bday party. Do I think that means he doesn't deserve a gift? Not in the least. Do I think it means I don't need to spend a lot of money, definitely. And here comes the great question - When you are invited to a birthday party (especially if you are dealing with twins) how do you decided what to spend/buy? Do you get something from each girl? Do you get something more expensive because it's coming from two kids???

This is what I have decided. Remember those great fleece blankets I made for Christmas? Well my coworker went to what I am calling the fabric mart in Downtown LA. Fleece is $2.25 - $3.00 a yard!! WOW! So I went there today and spent $18 and got enough to make a blanket for each boy! But then I thought, I really should get the boy from daycare a little more since he did buy each girl a gift for her birthday. So I'll trek on down to the bookstore and get a book for him (or two) to go along with the blanket. Whew. Now i just need to make the blankets. LOL!

Time for a Change

I know it's not Christmas anymore. I guess I should change up the background and stuff I just LOVE what Ragan did with everything and I'm reluctant to let it go. LOL! But I will. I also noticed I actually had 126 posts last year. WOOHOO! I can't believe I actually blogged that much. Basically all I wanted to do was post at least one more post every month than I had in the previous two years. I was successful! I'm going to try and do the same thing this year. So far, I can do it. I only need like 2 more posts this month and I'll be good. And since I still (yeah I know bad me) haven't downloaded the pics from camping at New Years I think I'll be good. LOL!

Bad Bad BAD Boy

Oh, Connor was in TROUBLE last night. I was getting Emily ready for bed. I had just put her down on the changing table and was changing her diaper. Connor ran to his bedroom and grabbed his stool so he could stand next to me and "talk"/play with Emily. I'm looking at her diaper (making sure she pee'd as she is still not 100%) and all of a sudden she is SCREAMING. I look at Connor and ask him, "Did you bite her?" He looks at me and says, "yes". I was speechless. I had no idea why or what or anything. So he got spanked and put in his room for a time out. Then we made him apoligize to his sister. Then he got ready for bed and went STRAIGHT to bed. No show, no book, no nothing. Was that harsh? Surbjit thinks so.

Connor ended up crying off and on that he wanted to watch a movie and he wanted to play. Finally at 7:45 I let him come out and lay with me on the couch while we watched Real Housewives of Orange County. Before it got a little too much we put him back to bed but he was calmer. However, he did want to sleep with us. I told him fall asleep and when Mommy and Daddy are ready to go to bed we will grab you and bring you into bed with us.

So what did we do wrong? I can see so much we did wrong. Live and Learn I guess. Live and learn. Why did he bite her? The only thing I can think of is she was sticking her fingers in his mouth (as she and Taylor love to do to me) and he decided to bite down. He bit down HARD too. So hard, he almost drew blood. But I don't think he'll be biting anyone ever again. At least I hope not. :Sigh:

Sicko Kiddo

So I have a sick kid. Poor Emily. I went away to Laughlin this weekend and had no idea. I guess she had diarrhea on Friday at daycare. She didn't let Surbjit know until he went to pick them up. She wasn't really eating or drinking and was having diarrhea. So on Saturday, he called his mom up and she came over and watched Taylor and Connor while he took Emily to the doctor. Non-infectious gastroenteritis(sp??). Something she ate did not agree with her tummy. She finally started eating and had a normal poop Sunday night but again on Monday had diarrhea at daycare. So although she did not have milk all weekend once she had the normal poop we started her on milk again, we stopped that again and going strictly to the BRAT diet again for at least a week. Hopefully that'll help. She was fine eating and everything again yesterday it was just diarrhea again. :sigh: I really hope she gets through this quick.

Potty Trained?

Can i actually say Connor is potty trained? We haven't used a diaper since December 20th. We had some rough patches but now, he knows when he has to go and says so. He is mostly dry at night (although we still put him in a pull up at night but not during naps anymore). Can it be?? Can i really say I "only" have two in diapers now. LOL! I think so. =)

I am headed out on a girls weekend this weekend. Laughlin here i COME!!!! WOO HOO!!!! I don't think I've been away since the girls were born. I so need this time to refresh and relax. Good luck Surbjit! No really, he'll do fine. He always does.

In other news, Taylor is still NOT walking. BUT she is getting closer. I can now walk with her. She doesn't immediately sit down now when I try to have her walk while holding my hands. She will actually walk quite a bit before she sits down. She started doing this when we went camping for New Years (yeah I know I still need to download pictures!) with a few steps but now will walk from the living room to her bedroom. So hopefully now that they are 14 months (TODAY!) by the time they are 15 months she will be walking.

Potty Training

I'm sure y'all are wondering how the potty training thing is going. It's going. Well, actually Connor isn't doing half bad. We had a couple accidents while camping and he did poop in his underwear once but other than that, he's holding his pee and occasionally saying he has to go potty. For the most part we are reminding him though to go. I don't think he's had an accident at daycare at all since we started the whole underwear wearing. I'm just wondering when will we get to stop reminding him and he'll just go??

2009

Well, it's a new year! I can't believe that 2008 is over with. We ended 2008 in bed asleep. LOL! We were camping though. Ended up leaving a day early. It was a rough start of 2009 with everyone in our Queen size bed in the motorhome the night of January 1st. Something was bugging Taylor and since it was such small quarters, Emily woke up. Ugh. So needless to say, we finished out the 2nd camping but left after dinner. I didn't want to deal with that again. Of course, that night Taylor cried out once or twice but never needed intervention. Was it because she was in her own bed? Maybe. I guess we'll never know. So we had Saturday and Sunday at home to just relax and chill. I am, of course, happy to be back at work today though. I tell you, I could not be a stay at home mom. Maybe when the kids get older but man! I always said I would love to be pregnant twenty times over but give the baby to someone else and they can give them back to me when they are one. I take it back. Give them back to me when they are two and can COMMUNICATE with me. Geesh!! These girls! They sure know what they want but can't communicate it to me yet. Emily is pretty easy to read. And she points at what she wants. Taylor on the other hand, ugh! She will stop in her tracks and fling herself down. And I swear its arbitrary. She is starting to point now although it's not at things she wants - yet. But I'm sure she will get there. She is starting to stand a lot more and starting to cruise the furniture so maybe within the next month she will be walking. Then I guess watch out right??

Well, even though we weren't camping for all that long, I did manage to take some cute pictures! i should have uploaded them to the computer last night while I was playing around but I didn't. I will try tonight to do it but no guarantees. Not sure when our next camping trip is going to be but Connor is itching to go again. He can't wait. He didn't want us to put it in storage yesterday because he wanted to go camping. LOL! I guess we couldn't give up camping if we wanted to. =) Hopefully the girls will feel the same way as they get older.

Christmas Pictures

Enjoy the Christmas Pictures!!!

Blankets

The extent of my creativity is No Sew Fleece Blankets. But I did make three for Christmas this year. Plus I made two no-sew Fleece pillows. Although I did not get pictures of the pillows yet, I do have pictures of the blankets to share.

\

My niece Mona's blanket - it's dragonflies. I also made a pillow in the same fabric.

My other niece Aria's blanket. It's butterflies. In hindsight, I wish I had found a darker purple to use as the solid piece but it still looks good.

And this is my son Connor's blanket. I also made a coordinating pillow for him too.

Christmas

has come and gone. It was a nice holiday. Everyone came over to our house. That was nice since it was raining off and on all day and the thought of getting five people ready and out the door - in the rain - not my idea of fun. Plus my mom was in town and celebrating with us. Surbjit got his infamous Honey Baked Ham from work (wow is that thing DELICIOUS!) so we had that with mashed potatoes, gravy, brown sugar carrots, green bean casserole and Garlic Biscuits (like the ones from Red Lobster). YUM! I've been having leftovers ever since and it's been DELICIOUS. All except the green bean casserole. Don't' ask what I did this year but it was DEVOURED. Even my niece Mona - who apparently doesn't like vegetables - ate it with gusto!

Connor really enjoyed unwrapping his presents. And it was nice. There was no rush. He opened some, played with them, then asked to open more presents. He even helped his sisters and even his cousins open theirs later. So all in all, a very good day. I'll share pictures later. I have to get them off the camera soon. We are going camping for New Years and I need them off by then!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

to each and everyone of you out there! May your holiday be filled with joy and laughter. Merry Christmas!!!!

One Year Check Up

So we went for the one year checkup today. Emily has surpassed her sister! Not by much though.

Emily 19 lbs 11 ozs
Taylor 19 lbs 9 ozs

Emily 29.5"
Taylor 29.25"

They are both in the 50%tile for height and about the 15%tile for weight. He said they could eat more. HA! They both eat like cows! But he said they are both fine and he doesn't see anything to be worried about. They both got 3 shots and then had blown drawn for lead levels and hemoglobin check. I think it's funny he brought up the lead level check. Last year when I had Connor's 2 year well baby check up, I pushed to have his lead levels checked. The doctor said I didn't have to but if I'd feel better we'd do it so we did. Now this year he brought it up with the girls and said due to all the stuff coming out of China that they are checking all kids now. I think that's good. I don't think the kids think that. Or the poor ladies who are drawing their blood. Let me tell you, the lady who drew the blood from the girls did awesome. One prick and they were in and took two vials of blood. Poor girls. But they were troopers and if you look at them now, you'd never know they went through all that. I'm glad they are troopers!

So two down, one to go. Connor's appt is tomorrow. I'm hoping to take him to see Santa tomorrow afterward. Maybe it'll lessen the sting of the shot he's going to get!

Potty and a Date

So yesterday I was very interested to hear how Connor did at daycare. Not ONE accident!! And then last night he pooped in the potty before we got ready for bed. YEAH!!! Now let's hope this lasts! He will be home for the rest of the week after today so we just have to keep remembering to tell him every 20 mins, potty.

Then, Surbjit and I got to go to dinner and a movie. My mom is here for Christmas so we put the kids the bed and then went to El Torito. Had some great mexican food and then went and watched Seven Pounds. Not quite what I was expecting but it was good. A tear jerker for sure! I can't remember the last movie we went to see. I know it was before the twins were born.

Well, I'm getting ready to get going to head out the door to pick up the girls for their doctors appts. Will try and update with stats tonight!!

Potty Training

So in my ever infinite wisdom, I chose last weekend to start potty training Connor. Why do I do this the weekend before Christmas?? Because I have nothing else to do with my time?? Partly because: a) it needed to get done and b) my loving husband demanded it get done. Well not so much demanded but requested rather strongly that he needs to be potty trained. So i guess now the question is how did Connor do?? Saturday started bright and early. We went through SEVEN pairs of underwear and SEVEN pairs of pants/shorts. He pooped TWICE in his underwear and went pee pee 5 - 6 times in them. Sunday we started AGAIN. Not ONE accident all day. He did NOT poop in the potty but I put him in a pull up for nap Sunday (where I did not on Saturday as I didn't want to confuse him the first day) with his underwear over the pull up and that's when he pooped so at least he didn't ruin a pair of underwear. But he never pee'd in his underwear all day. I kept setting the timer on the kitchen stove for 20 mins and every time it went off, "Connor let's go pee pee!". We'll see how he does today at daycare. Yikes! I sent four pairs of underwear and pants with him. :sigh: At least come this week he is home Wednesday - Monday - so maybe we can finalize it and get him to pee pee in the potty all the time now. That would be the BEST Christmas gift I could have ever got!

Recipe Swap Friday

It's getting colder here in Southern CA and although I HATE the cold (especially since I commute by train and standing in the freezing cold gets old!) it's the perfect time of year to start making soups for dinner! Once the holidays are over and I can get back into a routine - I'm planning on using my crockpot more and here is a great recipe for Taco Soup in the crockpot.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Stew

Ingredients

1 onion, chopped
1 16-oz can black beans
1 16-oz can kidney beans
1 16-oz can corn (drained)
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
2 14.5-oz cans diced tomatoes w/chilies
1 1.25-oz packet taco seasoning
1-2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Directions

Mix everything together in a slow cooker except chicken. Lay chicken on top and cover. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. 30 minutes before serving, remove chicken and shred. Return chicken to slow cooker and stir in. This is good eaten with cheese, sour cream, or tortilla chips.

Number of Servings: 14

It is THAT time of year

And by that I mean, cold season. Poor Emily. Ok, Connor got it first but he's older and deals with it. Not that Emily isn't dealing with it. She is still running all over the place. Her eyes are watering, her nose is running, and even her mouth is running. She is DRENCHING bibs by the minute. No joke. I swear I put a bib on her and 10 mins later it's SOAKED. And it's not snot, it's drool. I thought I felt her fourth tooth coming in last week but I haven't stuck my finger in her mouth lately. So anyway, Emily is sick, Connor is getting over his. He just has the cough and occasional snotty nose. And my dear Taylor - nothing so far. I'm hoping it stays that way but unfortunately with Taylor and Emily's likeness of switching binkies, I don't see that happening. UGH.

Tonight is my work Christmas party. Can't wait. It'll be nice to get out of the house with just adults Surbjit and I. Bigi is coming over and watching the kids. We'll get the girls to bed and then leave. My mom is coming down on Sunday. I'm hoping she makes it okay. Weather around here has been horrible! All the major freeways (5, 14 & 15) were shut down yesterday due to snow. Yup - you heard me right. Snow. My mom has to take the 5 to get here so I'm sure she'll see snow on her way in. There isn't supposed to be another storm until Monday so hopefully she sneaks in just in time. Good thing she isnt' coming today like originally planned!

Still haven't taken the kids to see Santa. :sigh: Why does this time of year have to be so busy? And I've barely decorated the inside of our house. We have our small Christmas tree up and that's it! In the coming years I know it will be easier to get things done as the kids will be older but still. Oh well.

The kids have their well baby check ups next week. The girls are on the 12/23 and Connor is 12/24. Merry Christmas - LOL! When I called back in Oct, that was the first dates they had available for well baby checkups. :sigh: I'm looking forward though to seeing heights/weights and percentiles on them all. I know the girls are small but how small and how tall. Connor too.

Well, I will try and upload some pictures this weekend from my family visit last week. Too much to do and NOT enough time. ugh!

One down . . .

and just two to go. I finished the blanket for my neice Aria last night. Now I have to do Connor's and my other neice's blanket. I can't believe Christmas is next week -- NEXT WEEK!! Where did the time go? I guess I should take a picture of it. I should probably take pictures of the ones I made for the twins too. Theirs is Strawberry Shortcake and I gave them to them for their birthday. They are so nice and warm. Anyway, I still have baking to do. I think I'll do my baking tonight and then do Mona's blanket on Wednesday night. I may have to wait until the 23rd when I'm off to do Connor's. I can't start it until he's asleep and he's not really going to sleep at night until late (that booger!). Thursday night I can't do anything because we have my annual work Christmas Cruise which isn't a cruise this year. We determined it was going to be too cold this year (probably 40's - yeah ok we don't want to hear it! LOL!) to be out on the water driving around. So instead, we are heading over to the boss' pad and enjoying ourselves there. Works for me since Bigi is coming over to watch the kids and we will probably be late then. Now we don't have to worry about the boat leaving us behind. LOL!

Busy next 9 days. For me and for everyone else I'm sure. If you are completely done with EVERYTHING for Christmas please don't tell me. I would be insanely jealous and then maybe delegate some of the stuff I need to do to you. LOL!

I'm BACK!

Well, I never really left. Instead, family came for a visit. My Grandma and Ace came out for a visit from Buffalo. Southwest had a KILLER deal and they both came out for the rockin' price of $268. Not each - for BOTH! Killer! So it was great to see them. And since she is my Mom's mom, my mom and dad came down to visit too. =) Connor LOVED having Grandma, Grandpa, Great-Grandma and Ace around. We didn't do much. We mostly hung out and talked, but that was good too. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful week either. It was sunny and in the 70's all week long. This week - it's started out COLD and rainy. Pouring rain on my way into work today and a balmy 45. (Yeah I hear no sympathy from my East Coast friends but please! I'm not use to it!)

So we had a great time visiting. I'm sad to say we never got a four generation picture while Grandma was here. I guess that just means she has to fly here again. =) And my Mom is coming back down Sunday to spend the week with us and be here for Christmas. YEAH!!! Can't wait. I'll share pics from this past week once I get them downloaded - but I have a TON of stuff to do and only what 10 days to do it. YIKES!

I so can not believe that Christmas is just around the corner! I need to bake and I need to finish making a couple gifts and I still have to wrap everything. Thankfully my Christmas cards went out today so that's one thing to check off my list. What with four birthdays at the end of November and then Christmas and I have a feeling I'll need to be more prepared and organized come this time of year from now on. 'Cause I certainly don't feel organized or prepared this year!!!

Lookie Lookie!

Like my new blog?!?! I LOVE it. Ragan did an AWESOME job. THANK YOU!!!!

So I changed the title. A friend of mine in my multiples group came up with the saying "A Pear and a Spare" and had t-shirts printed up with two pears and then another t-shirt with one pear saying I'm the spare. I thought it was cute. But since Connor was the first, I have to let him have his honor of being talked about first. I mean you hear twingles - twins + 1. But my 1 was first and I like to honor him of that, hence a spare and a pair. =) And you know he is an AWESOME big brother.

Well, I will hopefully have pictures sent out tonight of our camping trip this past weekend. I got a great shot of some of us climbing the rocks (Connor was included! That boy is crazy not afraid!!). I'll make sure I share those here too.

Well, I hope you enjoy my new blog over the next month as much as I do!!!

Oh My God!!

I was just thinking ok I need to change my blog for Christmas now since Thanksgiving is over and I Know I won't be winning that contest I wrote about here. Well Guess what?!?! I WON!!! YAHOO!!! So you will be seeing an awesome cute adorable looking blog here pretty soon! YEAH!!!!!

A GREAT Thanksgiving

So we had a great thanksgiving. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful camping trip. My idea of a great camping trip is when the weather is just perfect that you don't need to run the heat or a/c during the day. And that is what we got! Well except for Saturday. It was pretty warm in the sun so I had to run the a/c while the girls were napping.

We left Wednesday night in the rain. Well, it wasn't really raining at our house yet but it started raining while we were driving. And did it rain. I mean it POURED. I was getting kinda worried it was going to be pouring where we were camping and since the way in is a DIRT road I was thinking we had a possibility of it being mud and us getting stuck. However, when we got closer to Yucca Valley, the rain stopped. We stopped for gas there and as we were leaving, it started raining again. We must have out drove it and then we stopped and it caught up to us. So we got to camp around 10pm. Not bad. We left the house at 7pm and hit a bunch of traffic on the 91 so 3 hours isn't bad. The girls had woken up in Yucca Valley when we stopped for gas so they were up and raring to go. So we set up camp and started getting everything inside ready for bed. We let the girls roam around (and had to keep telling them NO because the stairs just looked so tempting to them!). We let everyone play until about 11pm and then we all headed to bed (remember Bigi came with us too!)

The next morning the girls woke us up bright and early at 7am. Wouldn't you think they'd sleep in since they didn't get a full nights sleep??? Oh well. Thanksgiving morning was bright and sunny. No rain clouds left in the sky! YEAH!! We woke up, had breakfast and Surbjit got to set up outside finally. Connor went outside and got to play with Roxanne and Seth. Then everyone but me and the girls went on a ride out to the marine base (shh!) and gathered some "finds" - empty casings, empty ammunition boxes, etc. I stayed back since the girls were napping and waited for our last friends to arrive. They got there and when everyone else came back from the ride, we started cooking dinner. Let me tell you, that deep fried turkey - - - YUMMY!! Especially if you are a skin person. Oh, it was SOOOO good. So we all gathered our dinner and ate inside our friends trailer.

Friday started another beautiful day. Surbjit got to finally go on a ride in his quad and the girls played outside and Connor played with Braeden most of the day and Roxanne too. Saturday was more of the same. We left for home Sunday morning after breakfast. Did good time too, never hit any traffic and was home in less than 3 hours.

So all in all, a GREAT camping trip, beautiful weather and Emily is walking so much more now. She is still crawling but is now leaning towards walking more. =) And Taylor is still my lazy girl that won't stand unless she wants too! We had fun and can't wait to go camping again!

Going Camping

We are headed out tonight to go camping for Thanksgiving weekend. Call us crazy! What can I say. We are deep frying a turkey with our friends and our other friends are grilling a turkey. Should be some Yummy yummy food!! I've never had a deep fried turkey before. I just hope the weather cooperates. It's been rainy last night. It's clear now but they say off and on all day. At least they took the rain out of the forecast for the weekend. =)

Wish us luck with the girls. They are at that age where they want to roam EVERYWHERE but I can't let them crawl in the dirt and they don't know how to walk yet. Well Emily is almost there but someone has to be with her at all times. Thankfully Bigi is coming with us this weekend. It will be crowded in the motorhome but hopefully we aren't stuck in there all weekend.

I finally uploaded pics from the Birthday Parties. I shared them all through e-mail so if you want a copy and didn't get it, let me know. But I had to share this ADORABLE dress that a friend of mine made for the girls for their birthday. They were supposed to wear them ON their birthday but our stupid postal worker delivered it to our neighbor who was on vacation for A WEEK and didn't get back until Saturday NIGHT! UGh. Oh well. Here is Emily in the dress:

I tried to get a pic of both the girls but Taylor was not cooperating. I have a hard time getting them both to sit still for a picture. Any advice, ideas etc???

Another Giveaway

Why do I think there are going to be LOTS of giveaways this year?? Anyway, in an attempt to be a better blogger I would like to start personalizing the blog with pictures and such. Some people have such cute blogs, I'd like to too. =) Well, Blogger Boutique is giving away a free basic design! WOO HOO! And I just checked out her stuff, it's cute. Check her Out:

Custom Blog Design

Whomp 'Em Sticks

Ok, I've never heard of this. But check HERE and this blog is doing a giveaway of them. Being someone that camps I'm surprised I've never heard of this. I know Connor would LOVE it. I guess I'm out of the loop as far as "typical camping" goes since we don't do the tent thing (and I never will. Give me my direcTv and heat and a/c anyday!!).

Works For Me Wednesday

It's Wednesday again. =) And my latest installment for works for me is a cheap eye makeup remover I read about in SELF magazine once. Baby oil. Put baby oil on a cotton pad and rub (gently) over your eye. It removes mascara, eye liner, eye shadow and baby oil is CHEAP.

Menu Plan Monday

So I'm trying to eat healthier and not go out to eat as much. What I've found is, if I don't have something planned, we head to the nearest McD's, Carl's Jr, Taco Bell to get dinner. Not great for the pocket book OR the waist line. So here is my menu for the week:

Monday - Nachos
Wednesday - Subway
Thursday - Turkey
Friday - Hamburgers
Sunday - Leftovers

No time!!!

Ok, I'm not going to lie. I have NO idea when I'll get the first birthday party pics uploaded and shared. We are in the midst of preparing the motorhome to go camping for Thanksgiving and that is taking up all my time. Last night I was up until 11pm doing laundry, packing and going through the TONS of clothes we got for the girls birthday. PLUS, my friend Melanie gave me two boxes full of boys clothes for Connor (THANK YOU!!!!). I seriously don't think I'll need pants for three years now. WOO HOO!!!

I will TRY and get the pictures uploaded. Really I will.

In other news, I think I can say that Emily is walking!! She will now stand up and take three or four steps and then go back down. Watch out!! Her other new thing she loves to do is crawl onto her toddler chair, climb up it on to the couch. Crawl all over the couch. Then get down. And yes she knows how to get down off the couch! YEAH!!

Yesterday was Connor's birthday. It was fairly low key as we already did his birthday party the same weekend as the girls (yes I need to upload those photos too!). But we gave him our birthday present to him. We got him the 5 in 1 sportscenter by fisher-price. So far I really like it. It's perfect for the toddler who has the attention span of nothing. He can switch from all five sports at any one time. So far he's best at soccer. Basketball he doesn't quite get that he isn't supposed to be as tall as the hoop since mom and dad are that tall. LOL!

Well, hopefully I'll get a minute or two tonight to download those pictures. I'd like to get them off the camera so I can have an empty memory card for our camping trip. Ah, so much to do, so little time!

Fun Times with the Layout

Ok, so I'm a dork. Now that I've found this cool website with backgrounds that I can make my blog look pretty I like to change it when I can to suit the time of year or what is going on in our lives (hence the birthday theme for the last couple weeks). They better not block my access to this blog at work or I won't be able to have the fun that I have. LOL! I guess in hindsight I probably should have kept the birthday thing up since Connor's birthday is Sunday but since he was born the day before Thanksgiving I always associate Thanksgiving with his birthday. So there!

Grocery Cart Challenge Recipe Swap

I've been trying to be better about cooking most of the month and not eating out so much. Not only is eating out getting expensive, the service is usually bad and the quality of the food is eh. So anyway, about a month ago I found this recipe at http://www.recipes.sparkpeople.com/. Surbjit LOVED this and so did I. The marinade was acutally plenty for probably four breasts so next time I'll double the recipe and use it to marinade 8 breasts and then freeze the leftovers. ENJOY!!

Grilled Chipotle Chicken Breasts

A spicy marinade gives this chicken its kick!

Ingredients:
5 chipotle peppers, seeded and chopped by hand (I couldn't find these so I used the canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. I took out five and seeded and chopped. Just be careful because the sauce and seeds are HOT.)
1-3 cup cilantro leaves
2 cloves garlic
2 medium sized shallots
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
juice of 2 limes
2 chicken breasts

Directions:
1. Put the peppers, cilantro, garlic, shallots and vinegar in a food processor or blender. With the machine running add the oil slowly and then the lime juice. This will be the marinade for your chicken.
2. Divide the marinade into two portions- one to marinate your chicken and another (in a separate container or bowl) to baste your chicken later while it cooks.
3. Marinate the chicken for approximately 1 to 3 hours or overnight. Remove chicken from marinade and grill slowly over medium fire. Discard marinade used by the chicken (for food safety) and baste the chicken with excess marinade that was set aside. Makes 2 servings.

Family Portrait

So remember we had our family portrait done November 1st?? Well I finally got the file today. Enjoy!!!

We have STEPS!!!

Emily took three steps yesterday!! We were in the living room. I was sitting on the chair with the ottoman in front of me and Surbjit was sitting on the couch. Emily was standing next to him in front of the couch. She was facing the ottoman. She looked at the ottoman, kinda crunched down like a football linebacker and took three steps to the ottoman!! WOO HOO!! I bet she's up and walking within the next month. Taylor will still be a little while I'm sure. But she's standing all the time now and I'm sure once she sees her sister running after brother, she'll feel left out and it'll push her to start walking!! =)

Wow, One year ago today, Mommy and Daddy were in the hospital waiting for your arrival. And now look at you! Both of you have grown into little independent strong-willed ladies! And you're only ONE! LOL! I Love you both VERY MUCH and look forward to the next years as you grow and become your own little persons. I LOVE YOU TAYLOR AND EMILY!!!!

Works For Me Wednesday

Wanna hear what works for everyone else...head on over to Rocks in My Dryer!

Americangreetings.com I never have to go to the store to pick up a Birthday card, an anniversary card, a thank you card. An any card!! It's a small yearly fee but I print out so many cards that I've saved hundreds of dollars every year just printing out my own cards. This month alone, I have three kids birthday's, Surbjit's birthday, six friend's birthday's PLUS a baby shower. That's 11 cards this month alone. Even if I went to the dollar store and paid $1 that $11 dollars and I get to customize these cards and not use any gas to get to the store. So check it out!!

Knott's Berry Farm Today

So I took the day off of work today and took Connor to Knott's Berry Farm. We met our friend Melanie & Dylan there and spent the whole day at the park. I was a little apprehensive at first. I will be the first to admit my child is a chicken. At least he has been in the past. Today, he surprised me. =) We rode the ferris wheel, the boat, the race cars, the tractor trailers, the roller coaster and MANY more. Here are some pictures:

And here is a video. I didn't know if Connor would actually like this ride but he said he'd go on it as soon as we saw it and were going in line. He never said he didn't want to go on it so I just figured I'd let him and see what he did! His friend Dylan is to Connor's left (looking at them on the ride he's on the right of Connor):

Busy Week Coming Up

My weekend is going to be crazy busy but I have a four day weekend! YEAH!! Tomorrow we are taking the kids and going to Day Out With Thomas. Then Connor and I are headed up to Victorville for two birthday parties. Lisa's twins turned four and their birthday party starts at 3pm. Then Melanie is having Dylan's birthday party at 4pm at Chuck E. Cheese.

Sunday Surbjit has to clean and get our backyard ready for the girls birthday party! He also needs to paint our new back door and he wants to move the subwoofer and speakers for our surround sound so we can push the TV back against the wall and give ourselves more room in the living room. I think I'll be keeping the kids busy!

Monday I am taking Connor to Knott's Berry Farm with Melanie & Dylan. I'm planning on spending the whole day there. Let's see if Connor will be able to hang without a nap! I'm sure he will. I'll be interested to see how well he does this time with the rides. Then on Tuesday (Veeteran's Day) the girls daycare is closed so I'll have them all day. Thankfully Connor's daycare is open so he'll go to daycare.

Wednesday I'm working. I know I know. Originally I was going to work Monday and take Wednesday off but then Melanie and I decided to take the boys to Knotts! Oh well. Thursday I'm running around getting last minute stuff bought, buy the food/drinks for the girls birthday party. Friday I have to pick up Connor's birthday cookie, get anything else done that needs to be done and clean the house. Connor's bday party is then at 7pm at Chuck E. Cheese (gee twice in one week fun!)

Then the busy/hopefully fun day. Saturday wake up, go pick up food, get everything set up, have the girls bday party and then maybe relax?? I can't wait until this next week is OVER. And I can't believe in one week and one day the girls are going to be ONE! Where did the time go??

Potty Training Progress????

Last night as Surbjit and I sat down to eat, we were letting the kids run around and play (yes we feed the kids first while making dinner and then eat). Connor proceeds to tell us, he pooped! YEAH!!! Now if only he would tell us BEFORE he pooped. Baby steps.

Halloween

We had a good halloween this year. As we were walking with our friends, I realized this was the first year I've been trick or treating!! Connor's first Halloween he was in bed by 7pm before any trick or treaters even showed up to our house!! Last year, I was on bedrest so I sat on our front porch handing out candy while Surbjit took Connor trick or treating. So this year was my first time I got to go trick or treating. =) The girls did awesome! They were up until 9pm and really didn't complain at all (but were VERY cranky the next day). Connor got quite a bit of candy. Anything more than one piece is quite a bit to me. We threw it all out except for the goody bag our neighbor gave to us that we knew was ok and that is just fine with me!!
Here are some pictures:

Single Mother of Three

That was me all weekend long. Surbjit went on a boys riding trip and left me with the kids. He left Thursday night (after the girls went to bed and while Connor was watching his show) and did not come back until Sunday afternoon (right after all the kids woke up from their naps!). All in alll, I had a pleasant weekend with them. I didn't want to run screaming back to work today that's a plus. ;)

Friday morning I got them all up and was out the door at 7am. Dropped them off at daycare and then ran my errands I was planning on running this Friday (since the 31st was my regular day off). So now I can come into work this Friday and not use a vacation day! YEAH!! (I'm running out of days since I took two weeks off after the girls were born. Thankfully my vacation time starts back up again Jan. 1st). I even got to relax a little in the afternoon and watch some TV. (My TiVo was down to 21% available! YIKES! It's hard to find time to watch my shows now that I have three kids). Picked up the kids and we had dinner got ready for bed, played and went to sleep.

Woke up saturday a little before 7am. Got the girls dressed and fed everyone. Then we played in the house while it warmed up outside. Got Connor and myself dressed and then we headed over to La Mirada Regional Park. Spent about 1 1/2 hours there walking around, playing on the playground, feeding the girls, eating a snack. It was a beautiful day! Headed home, ate lunch and then ATTEMPTED to put the kids down for a nap. Both Taylor and Emily probably slept for 45 mins MAX and Connor never took a nap. Oh well. We continued to play, Connor played outside for a little bit and then I tried to put up Halloween decorations. I had the girls in the pack n play on the porch and Connor "helping" me. He found a pumpkin that I had bought years ago that you plug in and lights up and he's been playing with that ever since. =) I got some decorations up but the girls were fussy and crying so I brought them all inside. We ate dinner and then got ready for bed. The girls and Connor were wiped since they never took a nap so the girls were in bed by 6:30 (and OUT not too long after) and Connor went to bed at 7:30.

Woke up Sunday about 7am and just played all morning. Connor sure does have an imagination these days. It's so much fun to play with him. Ate lunch and the put the kids down for a nap at noon. The girls fell asleep and Connor did too. Slept until almost 3pm when Daddy got home. So all in all it was a great weekend. Connor did so good listening and helping me out. No time out at all. But he also never went pee pee in the potty either. UGH> I swear that boy will be going to kindergarten with a diaper.

So that was our weekend! I've been so busy at work I forgot I've uploaded the pictures from our halloween trip I just haven't had a chance to share them yet. Will do as soon as I get a break. Ha!

The Three Kids

I guess on Monday morning after Surbjit got the kids ready to go to daycare, Connor went next to Taylor and told Daddy to take their picture. Well Daddy decided to get all three kids together and this is what we got:

The girls LOVE the camera and when we bring it out they ham it up!!
Tonight we were playing around with Connor and he said he was leaving. We told him bye and then asked where he was going. He said, "I'm going to Disneyland!" We have NO idea where he heard Disneyland from. It sure wasn't us! Gave us a great laugh though!!!

I'm changing the look of the blog. Tell me if you like it or if it's hard to see. I can change it. =) I'll try and share some pictures and info from our camping trip this past weekend. It was lots of fun!!

My Houdini

It has taken me FOREVER to be able to post pics. I just downloaded the pics from my camera today and I had like 117 on there. Geesh! The reason I did was because we are going camping this weekend and I want a blank slate on the camera before we go. It's our annual Halloween camping trip. There are like 30+ families going and the initial headcount of kids (not including adults) is 80!!!! It's going to be crazy but I'm sure it's going to be FUN.

But back to the title of my post. Weeks ago, Surbjit took a picture of our little houdini (aka Emily) and how she attempts to get out of her chair. Here is that picture:

Then earlier last week, Surbjit was getting Connor ready in the morning and fighting him (as usual) and all of a sudden, Connor says "Emily. You aren't supposed to be in the hallway." Surbjit looks over. Sure enough, there she is crawling down the hallway. He had left her in her chair in the living room! So needless to say, we've outgrown the chairs. In the morning now, they go in the high chairs for their morning bottle, Emily holds hers and Taylor's now gets propped since she still REFUSES to hold it. We are also getting them up later now so I'm basically saying good morning and good bye. Oh well, I knew it would happen eventually. I guess I'll just play with them more at night. =)
Other than that, not much new going on here. I've got some pictures to share from our weekend but I'll save that for another post! I've got cleaning up to do in the kitchen!

Teeth, teeth and more teeth

Well I guess when they teeth, they really teeth. Taylor is getting in not one, not two but THREE teeth. Both bottoms are coming in and the other top. So now she has FOUR teeth. Emily is getting in her third bottom tooth and an upper I believe. I think I felt something. So they have both been crabby and restless lately and this answers that.

Taylor is Crawling!!!!

WOO HOO!!!! I've been meaning to update. It officially started on Saturday. Yeah!! Now the fun begins.

Saturday we went over to Unlce TJs and Aunt Debbie's new house (they moved in that day!) to celebrate and BBQ and hang out. So of course since they were moving in, it was NOT baby proofed so that was fun running after Emily (who is all over the place) and Taylor who decided to go in the OTHER direction. LOL! But I have two moving babies now so I'm excited.

Both the girls are also giving High Fives. =) And Both will clap too. I'm working on them to start waving bye-bye.

LONG Weekend

Well my weekend started on Friday. The girls did not have daycare so I had them all day to myself. I was running low on diapers so I decided to run to Wal-Mart with them. Haha. Now I remember why I don't run errands with them. Actually I think they've swaped bodies. Emily is my good baby and Taylor is my fussy one lately! She started screaming in Wal=Mart. So I picked her up and basically walked holding her while pushing the stroller. At least I got what I needed to get done.

On Saturday, Surbjit went riding in the desert with Jeff so I had all three kids. My Working Moms group was having a stroller walk at Tri-City park so I decided that would be nice to get out of the house and get outside. We left the house at 9am and did not get back until almost 12:30pm! We played on the playground, we walked around the lake, we got to watch the ducks and the two men driving their remote controlled boats on the water. It was a beautiful day. Taylor fell asleep and then Emily fell asleep. So they never ended up napping after we got home. But then again, neither did Connor so it was a busy hectic day. After we got home we just basically played the rest of the afternoon.

Sunday, Connor and I headed up to Victorville for our friend's (Lisa) daughter's 6th birthday party. It was nice. Lisa also has twin boys that are a year older than Connor. As soon as Caydon saw Connor he wanted to play with him so bad but Connor was like my third leg and didn't want to play. He finally let go after awhile but still never really played with either Caydon or Dayton. He just roamed around and wanted me to come on. =) When they played games, he played one but no the other. They played musical chairs but he didn't want to play. But when they played pin the princess on the castle he played just fine. Then of course we had birthday cake but then had to run since we still had an hour and a half drive home. Made it in time to help Surbjit with baths for the girls etc.

So it was a nice productive weekend but Taylor has taken to crying now at night. If it's not one, it's the other. That's the problem with twins. I swear there is never a break.

Connor Has Mommy and Daddy's Number!

Oh a funny last night from Connor:

Surbjit: Go to bed Connor
C: Can you sleep with me?
S: No Connor. You’re a Big Boy. And Daddy doesn't get good sleep when you're in the bed.
C: Please.
S: Only on the weekend
C: I go "wah" then I sleep with you.

He has us down! He knows if he cries in the night, we'll let him come sleep with us! That's too funny!!!

And NO he did not sleep with us last night. =)

Busy Weekend

Well it seems as if the next two months our weekends are always going to have that title! But it's nice when we get out and DO things. It makes the kids happier and not as cranky which makes mommy and daddy happier too! Although it does mean we don't get errands run!

Saturday we had a fellow OCMOM (Orange County Mother's of Mulitples) mom came over and bought Connor's old Thomas toddler set. Woo Hoo! I'm slowly making a little bit of extra cash and getting rid of the baby stuff. YEAH!! (I sold a BUNCH of stuff the weekend before to another OCMOM that is due with twin boys in November). Then we had a birthday party to go to at 1pm. Since the girls were still sleeping (after Emily cried for an hour but finally went to sleep but that's a whole 'nother post in itself), Connor and I went over first. It was a pool party so we brought our swim suits. Of course it was a 6 year old's party so I was the only adult in the pool! Connor was luke warm. He hates going under and refuses to wear a life vest or swim things. He doesn't understand that he won't go under. I think that's my fault. We didn't start him out early enough but I don't have a pool or have easy access to a pool. Oh well.

So anyway, we were in and out of the pool. At one time I was in the pool and Connor was sitting right outside next to me. He got up and started walking and must have tripped and fell right in the pool next to me. I grabbed him but of course he went under. He didn't freak out too bad. I talked him down but he was done. After that, we got to eat, sing Happy Birthday and watch Kaylee open her presents. Then I took the three kids home and Surbjit got to stay back and hang out with the adults. Connor was so tired he fell asleep at 7pm while watching The Incredibles (his new favorite movie). That is UNHEARD of! All three kids were actually ASLEEP by 7pm! I think we need to wear them out like that more often!!

Sunday, I took Connor on a playdate with a mom and her daughter from my Working Moms group. We got to check out a new park and playground. I'll have to take Surbjit and the girls there soon. It's a really nice park. Actually, I'm running my first 5K ever (me run?!?! YIKES!) on October 5th at this park so it was nice to be able to check it out a little before hand. And it's right next to La Mirada's new water park which looks like a lot of fun! I'll definitely take Connor there next year.

Anyway, so that was our weekend! Nice and busy! Next weekend, Surbjit is going riding and then I have another birthday party to go to in Victorville on Sunday. Only Connor is going to go with me. Ah the joys!

Taylor

Taylor is getting closer to crawling!!! Yesterday both Surbjit and I noticed that she can now go from laying on her tummy to sitting up on her own. We both (Surbjit in the morning, me in the evening) left her in a room. When we left, she was on her tummy. When we walked back in, she was sitting up. We were both like Woh! And she is also getting up on all fours now where before she couldn't. She's even rocking back and forth so I bet she starts moving soon!! YEAH!!!

In other news, Bigi told us a cute story that happened last weekend. She took Connor with her to go to the doctors. When they were waiting for her to get called back, Connor looked at her and said, "Bigi, you are beautiful." Now how sweet is that!!
