Camping trip that almost wasn't

Well this is what happens when you book camping trips at the last minute and to places you have never seen before! LOL! Which reminds me, darn it all, I never got pictures of the campground. Oh well. So we were supposed to go to Chino camping. Our friends got there Thursday evening and I guess this place just is not all that! It's WAY too close to the dairy and there were a TON of horse flies everywhere. So they decide that isn't the place to camp. So they came home and we decided to try and call some other places and see if they had anything available. We called up Glen Ivy RV park in Corona and they had space available. Yeah! So we got there, they give us our sites, we drive over to the sites and ours has yellow tape around it. UGH! So we went back and got new sites. Finally in the end, we parked and set up camp and went over to the pool (one of the reasons we went there). It felt so good!! Connor really liked it to. Although he got in our friends pool on 4th of July this was the first time he was actually IN the pool with us. He had a blast! Kicking, splashing. I have to download the pictures.

He was cranky that afternoon while we were trying to set up but I believe the reason why is because his second tooth is starting to come in!! We could see the second one popping up next to the first one really good on Sunday. :) Anyway, on Saturday we woke up, had breakfast, played outside for a little bit then went down to the pool. I figured being as hot as it was, the pool would be packed. It wasn't bad at all! We got in, played around a bunch. Connor started getting really tired so we went back to the motorhome. I put him in his crib and he was out! Tuckered out from all the swimming. He did really good on Saturday. He was a grouch on Sunday when we were trying to pack things up and get everything together. He just wanted to be held and played with. I think his tooth is also bothering him. But we made it! We had a good time and we would go back to that campground again if we just wanted to get away some weekend.

This past weekend

Connor is doing much better. Had lots of snot this weekend but he is feeling so much better! We went out to dinner on Saturday for our friend's b-day. He did so good!! I was so proud!! The dinner was in Ontario at 6pm. Connor is usually in bed by 7pm. He got 2 - 2 hour naps in plus he slept for 45 mins on our way there. I think that is why he did so well. He started getting fussy at the end but who wouldn't sitting there for 1 1/2 hours. I was really happy. And that was the first time since he's been born that I've been able to enjoy myself out at dinner. Of course yesterday he was a fuss bucket but that was because he didn't nap really good because my friend was over with her 2 1/2 year old so I can't complain. At least I know why!!

Crabby, crabby

He's taken to being crabby at night. I'm not sure if it's because he's teething (I sure hope so because that means it'll go away) or if he's just so tired. Last night when he came home he was really tired and fell asleep for daddy for about an hour. He woke up, we fed him, he played for about an hour, at again and went to bed. Of course he woke up at 5am this morning all happy as could be playing in the living room with daddy while mommy finished getting ready for work. Oh well. Hopefully it's just the teething because that will go away once he finishes getting his teeth in. Cross your fingers.

Another day . . .

Poor Connor. I feel so bad for him. He's got a runny nose and is kinda congested. He's not as bad as he has been in the past but he's not sleeping really good at night either. Moving all around. I can tell when he wakes up and he's still tired. He'll cry out, sit up in his crib and then fall over. Usually onto his face. It's kinda funny right now as I'm thinking about it but I gasp every time I see him do it. He bangs his head into the crib and it doesn't phase him. What can I do? At least he goes back to sleep pretty easily since he is so tired. He's not snoring so it appears he can breath halfway decently when he falls asleep. I just can't figure out if he's cold or hot. I think he's been hot. I know I've been hot. So we are going to try and put the A/C down to 72 tonight and see how that works.

A Cold again . . .

You would think in the summer time you wouldn't get a cold. At least I think it's a cold. He has snot so I'm thinking it's not just congestion from teething as one of the old wives tales says. He kept waking up last night too. Probably every two hours. He didn't really cry out just started kicking the crib, sitting up, then laying down again, babbling a little. I'm thinking he is going to sleep well at daycare today.

Connor's First 4th of July!

We had a pretty good time last night. We went over to our friend's house about 3 blocks away. They have a pool so Connor got in for the first time! He liked it. We didn't go too far in since I did not have bathing suit. I didn't think we'd probably go in so I didn't bring anything. Considering we walked there it was less stuff to carry too.

He never had his afternoon nap because we had to leave and visit friends on Carnation and then headed over to our friend's house on Calendula that had the BBQ at that we went to. So Connor was VERY tired. He did fall asleep in my arms after his last bottle but when I went to put him down to lay in his stroller, he woke up and would not go back to sleep. So in the end, he got to see fireworks. He really liked them. Kept looking everywhere since we were doing some, the people to the left AND right were doing some also! And then of course people all over the neighborhood had the illegal fireworks they were shooting off into the air. It was pure madness (but a controlled madness!). We got home around 9:30pm and he went straight to bed. No fuss. It was a good time.
