Too cute!

Ok on Monday, I would ask Connor to give me a kiss and go in and kiss him/ rub noses since his idea of a kiss is to open his mouth wide. :) I did that quite a few times. Fast forward to Tuesday. Bigi came over and was rubbing noses with him too. After a couple of times of us intiating it, he's keep moving forward for us to rub noses with him. Now onto Wednesday night. I just got done feeding him and he was not in the mood to go to bed so I sat there holding him. He keeps coming closer and closer to my face. I'm like what the heck is he doing? He's trying to bump my nose with is and smiling each time he does it! How cute is that?!?

Tooth!!!!

We have a tooth!!!! I noticed it yesterday night. It's just starting to break through. Yeah!! It's the bottom right when you are looking at him and the it looks like the left one is not far behind. Yeah!! He's doing really good eating wise. He's in Stage 2 foods now. He basically likes everything except bananas which I don't blame him. The banana baby food was disgusting! I might mash up some ripe bananas and give that to him sometime and see if he likes that better. He likes all his veggies and his is now starting to try meats. Fun fun! I've also started giving him the fruit puffs. He seems to like them. He's slowly getting the hang of things. He is also drinking from a sippy cup. He does pretty well but he has a hard time tipping it all the way back when there isn't much in it. I saw an add for a sippy cup that is supposed to help eliminate that so I'm going to see if I can find it.

He had his 7 month appt two weeks ago. He was 16lbs 4ozs and 27.5 inches long. He is in the 29%tile for weight and 75%tile for height. I have a tall skinny baby. :) Well that's about it for now.

Bad Mommy

I am a bad bad mommy for not keeping up with this!! It was kinda hard since I didn;t have any pictures to share, but guess what? Now I do. :) We bought a new camera! Yeah!! So here are some pictures. Connor is crawling like a champ now and standing up. He just wants to move all over the place! He's growing up way too fast.


The only bad thing about our camera, it has such a high resolution, our pictures are HUGE in size (3 MB each!). I'm uploading the pictures from our camping trip right now. It's going to take 45 mins. Ok, we did take a lot of pictures. I think like almost 100! Don't get use to it though because it's a new camera we wanted to play with it. Haha! I LOVE this camera. Anyway, once I get them all uploaded, I'll send a link to everyone so you can see all the pictures. If you don't get an e-mail from me by Monday, e-mail me because I probably forgot to send it to you!

Connor's 6 month appt is June 16th. A little late I know. Not my fault! The stupid drs office resecheduled it for Monday the 5th without calling and telling me. I have to work so I moved it to my next day off. It was a good thing I called the day before and confirmed otherwise I would have shown up to the drs office with him for his appt that wasn't then. Oh well. I'm just curious to see how much he weighs and how tall he is. I guess I just have to wait two more weeks. Plus we are supposed to go camping that weekend and I was really trying not to have his shots right before we went camping. What's a girl to do?!

Last Riding Trip of the Season

Well Connor had a fabulous time camping this last weekend. So much so, we tired him out. :) We got there on Thursday night, Connor slept the whole way and then went right to bed when we got him out of his car seat and put him in his travel crib. On Friday he woke up and ate and then went back to sleep so Mom and Dad could get some sleep in too. He woke up and played. Did really good all day Friday. He even played in his exersaucer outside the motorhome Friday evening for about an hour. Everybody was just awed that he would play like that for so long (us included!). On Saturday Connor and mommy and took a nice 3 hour nap in the morning and also hung out outside playing in his pack n play. Although, I think our next camping trip, the pack n play is not going to be sufficient. He wants to "crawl" (his version, he's not quite there yet but he moves!) and the pack n play is a little too confining for his liking. After all that play he went to bed at 7:30pm and didn't make a peep until 6am! Sunday we traveled home and Connor played for the first hour while in the motorhome and then went to sleep and slept all the way until we got home. Everyone had a wonderful time and the weather was beautiful. A little on the warm side but that's why we have a motorhome with a/c!! Not many pictures from the trip since we would have to pull out the camcorder when we want to take a picture but hopefully we'll get a new camera soon. We know which one we want but they are just starting to sell it this week or next so we'll have to wait until the price comes down a little! Until next time!!!

Camera Caput

UGH!!! Our camera went to the camera heaven in the sky. UGH!! Which means, no pictures for awhile. I think we know what camera we want, we just have to order it or find it somewhere. What a pain. I wasn't really expecting to need a new camera soon. Ours worked just fine. It would be nice to get a new one and now we don't have a choice. So I can't take Connor's picture next to Fieval for his 5 month shot. Oh well. What can I do right?

Easter

Easter is this Sunday and we will be at my parents house. I went to Target last night and bought stuff for Connor's Easter basket. It's not as if he is going to remember but it makes me feel better. :) I got him two DVD's, two toys, a teether book and a stuffed squeaky rabbit that I bought at BabyGap when we were there this past weekend. The basket I bought at Target I can put in his closet when we are done with it and use it to store things in. So I'm practical too. :)

In other news, I was looking at one of my e-mails I get from one of the parenting sites and they listed recent recalls. One of which were toy pliers. My friend Monica had given us one when Connor was born so I decided to look at it. Sure enough. It's those pliers. I guess one of the knobs can fall off and pose a choking hazard. Great. At least I hadn't opened it yet. I was going to do it this weekend too! Now I just have to find time to return it to Radio Shack. They better not give me no grief!!

Feeding Solids

Well, I finally started Connor on some rice cereal. He isn't digging it to much but he doesn't hate it either. It's just kind of funny. He opens his mouth for the spoon and then it all basically falls back out! But we are making progress. I am going to start on Green Beans next weekend. I don't want to start this weekend because we'll be at my parents and if he has an allergic reaction and we need to see the doc, I'd rather be close to home. So next weekend, he gets the good stuff. :) We'll see how he likes it!

Growth Spurt?

I don't know if Connor is going through a growth spurt or what? After my weekend away from the boys in Vegas (which I am still sleep deprived from), and in which Connor was a CHAMPION sleeper for Daddy, he has started waking up in the middle of the night. Not waking up, we put his binkie back in his mouth, he goes back to sleep. No he wakes up and keeps crying because he is hungry. On Monday he had 6 - 6 oz bottles during the day and then woke up at 2:30am and had another 4 oz bottle. Yesterday, he had 4 - 6oz bottles, 1 - 8 oz bottle and then woke up at midnight and had another 8 oz bottle! UGH! I am tired. Then he decided to wake up early this morning at 5 am instead of me waking him up at 5:30am. Oh well. I got to spend more time with him. :)

It's been too long!

Since I've posted an update! Bad Mommy! Nothing much to report. Connor loves his exersaucer - yes I will get pictures this weekend uploaded I promise!!! We are going camping this weekend so we should have some pictures from that too. I am hoping to take a ton of pictures. I so do not take enough. I can't believe Connor is going to be 4 months old tomorrow!! WoW!!!

We've taken to feeding Connor at 8pm now. So depending on how fast he eats his bottle (last night it took him 45 mins! because he was basically sleeping the whole time!) he is in bed between 8:30 and 9. It's nice for Mommy and Daddy because now I can get some laundry and some other stuff done. Last night I heard him around 3 am doing his usual cry out and then usually he goes right back to sleep. For about 5 minutes he kept whining off and on. Well the last time that happened his arm was sticking out of the crib (ha! he can't do that now with the bumpers on!) so I decided to go check on him. He had turned 180 degrees(his head was where his feet were!) and he was on his stomach, hence the whining. I couldn't believe it! So I turned him over and flipped him around and put his binkie back in his mouth and he went back to sleep. I just couldn't believe it! He is definitely a mover. Then when I woke him up at 5:30 he was ready to get up! He played with me a little before I left unlike most days where he is just laying on me still asleep. So I think the earlier bedtime is exactly what he needs!!

Nothing New

Not too much going on in the Connor arena. I have pictures on the digital camera that I need to download. Maybe I'll get a chance to do that tonight. We will see. Connor is feeling better. I think he is finally getting over his cold. He's had a lot of mucous coming out yesterday which I'm going to think is a good sign that his body is ridding itself of that. Other than that, nothing new going on. We go him an exersaucer and he just absolutely LOVES it! It's so much fun to watch him playing. He just concentrates on trying to touch things and grab things and it's so cute. :) We have a birthday party to go to in Apple Valley on Saturday. A one year old b-day party. Should be fun. I just hope its a lot warmer next weekend than it was last weekend!!!

He Rolled Over!!

Woo Hoo! My son is a genius! Ok Surbjit had said for the past two days that Connor has rolled over for him. The first time he did it, Surbjit thought well maybe it was a fluke so he turned him back over onto his back and sure enough he rolled over again onto his stomach. So last night Surbjit showed me. He put Connor on his back and Connor was playing and turned on his side and the turned on his stomach, then yanked his arm out from under him and was on his stomach! Yippee!!

On other news - my poor guy. Not only does he have a cold but now he has an ear infection. I hope he gets better soon. He is a real trooper and doesn't mind the medicine that we are giving him thank god! I think this weekend will be a relaxing indoors type of weekend!

He's Better

He is doing much better. Not that he really got that bad. I am really thankful. I think we caught it early enough that he never really got bad. He is such a cutie I hate to see him suffer at all. He's been sleeping a lot the last couple of days. Either he is still trying to fight off his cold (which is reasonable) and/or he is going through a growth spurt. He's been sleeping great at night so far (knock on wood). We just have to have him swaddled. If we don't do it good enough he gets his hands in his face and wakes himself up. I think we'll just keep swaddling him until he gets good hand control and starts sleeping without moving his hands all over the place.

I have a couple of pictures on my camera I want to share I just need time to get on the computer and do it. It's really hard during the week because I get home, cook dinner, eat, clean up and then spend a couple hours with Connor, then go to bed. We are going to slowly start having him go to bed earlier and earlier. This week we are feeding him at 9:30pm. Next week I'm going to start feeding him at 9pm. Probably do that for a couple weeks, then move it forward to 8:30 and finally to 8pm. That will give Surbjit and I some time at night to ourselves.

I think we are going to go to Babies R Us this weekend and get the high chair and exersaucer that I want for him. I think he'll have fun playing in those and I can put him in the high chair in the kitchen while I'm cooking so I can still watch him and talk to him while I'm cooking.

Well, that's an update in a nutshell. I know I need to e-mail some people back. There is just not enough hours in the day anymore!!

My baby has a cold :(

Well Connor has his first cold. The poor thing. He's being a champ though. He slept all last night. I think he's like momma and gets really tired when he's sick. We ended up putting him back in our bed to sleep since he isn't feeling good and we raised his little bed so he's sitting up when he's sleeping to relieve the stuffiness. We've given him a decongestant and some eye drops so his eyes don't get infected and have been using saline drops to help his nose. So far he isn't too bad. Hopefully he'll get over it quickly.

Of course I am sick too and so is Surbjit (at least he thinks. His throat is bothering him but it's been like that for awhile now). I just want to go home and sleep. I know what we are going to be doing this weekend!

BTW, at his appt yesterday he weighed in at a healthy 12 lbs 11 ozs!! And is 2 feet 1 inches long!!! (Sounds longer that way than saying he is 25"!). He is in the high percentile for height and in the lower percentile for weight. Looks like we are going to have a tall skinny kid. :)

Out of Mom & Dad's room

Well, Connor is now officially in his own crib. It's kinda nice to have the room to ourselves but I miss him. Even though he is just in the next room. :) It's not like I can just wake up and look over to see how he is doing.

Surbjit is taking Connor to the doctor this afternoon. He is sounding congested and has a runny nose and his eyes are red and watering so we think he's coming down with a cold. When I called the nurse, she said to bring him in since he's so young to make sure his ears and everything are fine too. The appt is at 4 pm. At least now I'll know for sure how much he is weighing now since everyone keeps asking me.

I really need to take more pictures of him while we are camping. We were busy on Saturday because Romy, Jeff, Cynthia and Katrina came out to visit. Jeff and Cynthia went riding while Romy, Katrina, Connor and I hung out. It was fun. Not sure when our next camping trip will be. We will see.
